The city is caught inbetween the Ottawa and Saint Lawrence rivers, the city has just under two million people. The city is about layers. It's tree finged streetscapes hve been electrified with spectacular modern additions. Above are just some of their new modern twists. The top left of the pic. is Buckminster Fuller's Biosphere for Expo 67. And to the bottom right is the Palais de Congres convention center. Montreal not only has cobblestone streets and modern buildings mixed with old ones that are beautifully decorated, but it also has tons of four star restaurants. What more can you ask for great food, and beautiful buildings.
